Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are delighted to welcome you to the 11th International Seminar on Fire and Explosion Hazards (ISFEH 11) and to the beautiful city of Rome. This year’s Seminar is proudly hosted by the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome.

Since its inception in 1995, ISFEH has built a proud tradition of bringing together leading researchers from around the world. Previous seminars have been held in Moscow (1995, 1997), Lake Windermere (2000), Londonderry (2003), Edinburgh (2007), Leeds (2010), Providence (2013), Hefei (2016), St. Petersburg (2019), and Oslo (2022).

The 11th ISFEH features five outstanding Plenary Lectures, a series of oral presentations of peer-reviewed papers, and a Poster Session. All accepted and presented papers will be published in the seminar proceedings. The Poster Session offers an excellent opportunity for in-depth discussions and direct engagement with the latest research. Prizes will be awarded for outstanding contributions.

Beyond the scientific program, Rome provides an inspiring setting, rich with world-renowned landmarks and hidden treasures. To help you experience its charm, we have organized a social program for all participants.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of ISFEH, and we look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with you.

We wish you an enjoyable and enriching stay!

Warm regards,

Prof. Paola Russo
Chair of ISFEH 11
