Authors are invited to submit their Work in Progress Poster by April 10, 2025.

Guidelines and Instructions

Poster Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s).
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
Please, ensure you have read the guidelines and instructions below to avoid rejection of your abstracts.

How to prepare and submit your abstract

For the preparation of your abstract, please follow the instructions below

Abstracts must be written in English and submitted as a Word file. Prepare your word file
(do not exceed 4 MB) using the template.

Tables and figures
Tables and figures must be enclosed into the body of the abstract – a maximum of 2 can be submitted. Note that inserting tables will reduce your word capacity.

You can submit your Poster Abstract by sending it as an attachment to mcm@mcmcongressi.it.

PLEASE make sure to provide the following details in the body of your email:

Title of the abstract

Authors’ names and affiliations

Indicate the presenting author

Indicate which of the following topics your abstract belongs to:

Fundamentals of fires and explosions
Deflagration, DDT, detonation, and their mitigation
Two-phase explosions
Hydrogen safety
Battery safety
Industrial risk and sustainability
Material flammability and flame retardancy
Fire suppression and mitigation systems
Combustion in extra-ordinal environment (e.g microgravity, high-pressure)
Fire and explosion modelling and computer codes
Critical and transient combustion phenomena (ignition, extinction, flame spread)
Industry-specific fire and explosion research: renewable energy, aerospace, oil and gas, nuclear, process industry
Wildland fires
Fire toxicity and pollutants
Evacuation

The Submitter will be notified of their abstract acceptance by April 28, 2025. The abstracts, after the review process, cannot be changed anymore.

Registration of the Presenting Author

All abstract presenters are required to register to attend the Symposium by the Early Bird deadline of 15 April, 2025. If they have not registered by this date their abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the program without any further notice.
